Louwers strengthens The Hague office with Marijn Rooke joining the team

As a firm we have a strong position on the cutting edge of IT, intellectual property, innovation and privacy law. Although we do not restrict ourselves to certain sectors, we serve many clients involved in the life sciences & healthcare sector. The arrival of Marijn and his knowledge of health law are perfectly in line with this” says Huub de Jong, partner and first point of contact of the The Hague office.

Marijn Rooke switched in March from Eversheds Sutherland in Rotterdam to Louwers IP|Technology Lawyers in the ‘Red Elephant’ at the Malieveld in The Hague. At Eversheds, he gained a great deal of experience in advising and litigating on privacy and IT law for both national and international clients.

Marijn about his move: “Choosing Louwers offers a wonderful opportunity to combine substantive in-depth knowledge with the human touch. The firm has an excellent reputation and offers me the opportunity to contribute to its further growth ambitions.

With Marijn’s arrival, the firm consists of ten lawyers working from Eindhoven and The Hague and well known to both national and international clients. Within the field of IT and privacy, the firm assists both customers and suppliers, ranging from large corporates and high-end scale-ups to organisations in the (semi-)public domain.

Ernst-Jan Louwers on the arrival of Marijn: “With the arrival of Marijn, we strengthen our clout and know-how. Our high-quality specialist knowledge and market experience are recognised and acknowledged. This is also evidenced by the fact that other lawyers, but also for example accountants, know how to find us for complex issues.
